We were Married May 20 2014 on K1 visa. I have social security card in my new name and have a question.

I have been accepted for LPN classes at a retirement facility and could begin working after the 180 day training session is finished.

with AOS and EAD filed is it Ok to work while waiting for approval? I'm almost pretty sure while at CFO in Manila they said I could..

I don't want to mess up everything me and husband has worked so hard for..

You must have heard or remembered incorrectly, or maybe the CFO counselor must have worded it ambiguously, sis. But as others mentioned above, US law is very clear on this. Everybody has to have the proper employment authorization document (EAD) before they can start working. Having applied for this or for AOS is not the same as approval. Volunteering for non-profit organizations like Red Cross can be an option though. But no pending remuneration in any form is legally allowed.
