i said cell phones are allowed in my embassy, i will bring it and if i'm asked to let him switched off or somewhere, i will of course ! it's common sense

i won't be satisfied myself with few evidences,i will bring more than that of course and all information they are requesting, even more like my own background due to my specific activity

i just said it was implied that somehow the relation has to be valid and currently going when applying for the K1 if not why applying !! LOL

going on the Department of States, it appears the NVC Transfers the file and approval to the embassy where lives the fiancé(e) then it took between two and 4 weeks to be sent to the embassy and then the longest might be to have a schedule

in my situation i'm supposed to visit my love in June and we may not have the letter from the NVC and waste time though till my return in august ! so we wonder what to do as not knowing is not fun

regards

That is not entirely what you said. You said you will show the CO your relationship evidence with your phone.

I provided you information that it is not allowed. For accuracy and clarification please provide a link that

made you believe so. I don't think you will find one.

Of course you have to show relationship evidence when applying for the K1 but it was pointed out to you that

the topic of the thread is about USCIS service center processing times.

Nobody said not to frontload your I-129F petition with evidence for the K1 application.

Not sure what you mean by you are 'wondering what to do'. I assume you want to make sure you are there for the iterview

with your fiance. It says on your timeline you were approved in 5 days at CSC.

If that is the case then you have a good chance to be able to be there during the interview if your travel plans were made June-August.

it takes about 4 weeks at NVC.

Best wishes.

Ebunoluwa posted your consulate's instructions that cell phone are not allowed. Where did you see that they were?

Security Dos and Don’ts: Many items are strictly forbidden on Embassy grounds. These include electronic devices such as mobile phones, Blackberries, iPods, iPads, notebook computers, PDAs, headsets, remote-entry automobile key "fobs" or anything with a power plug or battery. Large bags, such as backpacks, suitcases or packages are also prohibited since there are no storage facilities on Embassy grounds.

Applicants who do not follow these instructions will experience considerable delays at the security check point which could result in the interview being cancelled.

http://france.usembassy.gov/usc_notarial/embassy-security.html

You were the one that said you would just bring your phone. If you are bringing other paper-type evidence documents, then good. Those are the type you will need.

When yo\u file an I-129F petition, you are not applying for a visa. You apply for the K-1 visa at the consulate, after the I-129F petition is approved, which makes you eligible to apply for the visa.

Nothing in the instructions is an implication. There are requirements and the instructions tell you exactly what you need to include with the I-129F form. What the instructions state is required, is exactly what is needed for the approval of the I-129F petition. The main requirements of the petition are: 1) you are both free to marry at the time of filing, 2) you have met each other face-to-face at least one time within the two years prior to filing, and 3) you both have the intent to marry within 90 days of the foreign fiance(e) entering the US via the K-1 visa.

When you apply for the K-1 visa, which you have not even done yet, that is when you must prove your relationship is valid and not for the sole purpose of immigration. If you added in relationship evidence with the I-129F petition, it was not needed for the petition approval, but it will be seen by the consular officer that will conduct your K-1 visa interview. That is the purpose of the relationship evidence being sent with the I-129F petition, not to get the petition approved. It is more of a thought/plan for the future and upcoming K-1 interview, That is why it is known as 'front-loading'.

You can ask in the regional forum for Europe about the timelines for scheduling an interview in France. You can find more info about applying for the K-1 visa and interview here > http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=France&cty=Paris

yes i intend to show my cell phone to the CO, but if being there i'm asked to keep it down i won't.

someone did it already and it worked well the cell phone was allowed at the french embassy when he got there for his interview so i based my speech on what i knew. if it is not allowed well i ll be notified and won't of course.

i 'm speaking about my intentions as it can be only intentions as we know nothing yet

when i say i wonder what to do, is that it takes from two up to 4 weeks to the NVC to send file to the embassy (said on the NOA2) so in adding time for mailing me, it will be end of June, when i'm gone to the us to visit my fiance. so we wonder whether it worth cancelling all the vacation and wait for an hypothetical mail, we wouldn't like to miss any dates either, that's not easy

regading the speed we are going through i'm confident i can be brought into an interview pretty fast, but just hope to have enough info in the NVC letter

do you know if they give the interview date or if i have to wait for the embassy to contact me?

thank you

regards

i won't argue cause there is different cases in practice different from theory, one of my relatives just came with a cell phone and was accepted as an evidence he could bring it without sim card to be precise here. so i intend to bring it as part of my evidences but of course if i'm asked to not use it , i won't and obey ! i have many others i did not list cause they have no interest here

i know that the i129f form is just the begining of the process and do not provide the visa which is only an embassy authority. but i'm saying that providing many pieces from the begining can just help as they won't ask these pieces later.

as it is sent to the CO, it is just a way to save time and any wondering they may have such as certificate of birth, copies of all papers that can be related to the relation, status biography and so on.. from that we did not have any Further request asked by USCIS and the NVC.

i was said it may take two months from the I129F sending and the NOA2 and it took only two weeks, so each case are different and papers to bring different too. i know regarding my background i will have easy access to check and questions from the CO. and that i will have to bring papers that are not listed. i guess they dig deeper when the situation requires it and depending on the CO too ! the person i refered to above met someone very easy.

no case can be like another as stories are all different. we have main lines but details not

best wishes
