Hi All,

I'm new here, can anyone advise me on the following questions about I-601 and 212?

We filed 601 and 212 by mid Nov 2013, numbers before and after us all got approved whilst our case is still in review. Not sure what went wrong or how much longer would it take or any way to expedite it? The consulate here in my country said I got a record against me when we thought we could have K1 visa last Sept. Could it be done by the consulate instead of immigration officer in US? My fiancée produced and sent out the hardship letter in March 2014, we tried to produce any info as possible, but my fiancée didn't have severe medical issues, well I'm not sure getting frustration and great duress caused would be considered one of them?

Thank you very much for any helpful info from you.

Wavers take 6 months or so, times seem to be all over the place.

A waiver is somewhat more involved that you suggest.

People are still awaiting decision since May 2013

str8 forward cases gets decisions sometimes in 6

mths, cases with convictions, misrep etc can take

longer, but even some str8 forward cases get decisions

8-10 mths later. no one knows if some adjudicators

are just slower than others, but Nov is just 6 mths out

the gate who nows...it will stay that way until it goes

to decision.
