Hi all

Just a quick question : On returning the forms from pkg 3. I send the checklist , form DS-230, two copies of the Form DS-156

What about the Form DS-156K (Nonimmigrant Fiance Visa Application) does that go along with everything else in the mail or does that come with me to the interview

Thanks for any assistance

Allie and Lorry

For Montreal I believe you only send back the checklist and the DS-230 and hold the rest til interview time.

Thanks for your reply

Step one says please complete and return immediately the enclosed DS-230 Part 1 and form DS-156 in duplicate

At the bottom it says complete the single copy Form DS-156K Nonimmigrant Fiance Visa Application

It doesn't say whether to send it along with the other 2 and the checklist or bring it to the interview I'm just confused over the DS-156K whether it's mailed or not

I want to mail all this as soon as possible but don't want to send stuff I shouldn't

Thanks

Allie

I believe that its just those three, the checklist, DS156 and DS230. Everyone says not to send the DS156 but I'm thinking that they just recently decided they wanted that mailed to them also. My fiance just got his packet 3 like 2 weeks ago and this is what it told him to send.

Mine said as a step 3 to fill the online form for DS-156 , print 2 copies of it and bring those at the interview. I received my packet 3 in November. So all I sent back were the check list and the DS-230.

Hi do you know if he affixed the 2 passport pics to the DS156 they want and sent them too

I read somewhere in here they'll require 2 passport pics at the interview

What's on my cover page reads to send the checklist, duplicate DS156, and DS230 immediately too

I wonder if Montreal has changed it's format from when Mephys and CutienPurg sent the package 3 items back

It would be nice if there's anyone as recent as us in here returning forms to find out what they did.

I tried several times calling Fri at the times they specify to contact. As far as I got was recorded music

I want to mail it tommorrow but want to be sure about everything. Including affixing the 2 pics and sending them too

Thanks

Any assistance would be of great help

Sorry Allie, but I sent mine way back when too, so I may be playing by 'old rules'. Honestly, I would do what the letter tells you (but keep a copy of the document for yourself of course) and definately get in touch with the embassy first if you have any doubts.

Thanks Monique for the reply

Yeah it appears they may have changed thier way of doing things . I just saw on the bottom of the sheets where it states updated 12/ 22/ 06. I'll just send as they say and will make copies of everything.

I'll try calling them again I may get by the recorded music eventually lol

Good luck on the 17

I believe he sent in the two passport pics too. I'm sure they just changed things....I was leery too because it was different for everyone else but as long as you follow the directions exactly it'll be fine.
