Proving I have been hear since I was a baby is not a problem... Im just afraid because I only have bruises to show from the abuse of my husband that Vermont will deny me. Friends that know about us dating since 1998 have told me they would vouch for me and say what they have witnessed and know about us but Im afraid maybe that won't be enough.

your worry is misplaced. Given your husband's wrap sheet, Vermont will believe your story of abuse. So you only have two hurdles to overcome: bona-fide marriage and your own criminal record.

I have his arrest records from when we first started dating. Maybe that will be enough to convince them I married him because we were an actual couple. Besides, why would I wait 13 years to file for something if it was a scam... I hope they see this and hopefully be able to help me.

yes, you should somehow emphasize the "13 year wait" bit.

But the courtship and early marriage part has to be extremely convincing to overcome the stigma of his citizenship attraction
