Talked to MBP briefly. She will be on later to post. Any of you that are bartenders might want to start prepping the drinks. Regardless of how this turns out, she sounds like she is going to need one!

Shall we plan on popping a cork? I have my NYE bottle still left over . . . wasn't in the mood then!

Hurrah!!!! We can all breathe a sigh of relief then I guess. :D:D:D

Congrats and I can't wait to hear the details.

Allah tries his chosen people through many hardships, but those who persevere through adversity, surrendering themselves before the will of Allah, shall be blessed with a superb reward.

-The Prophet Muhammad (SAW), as reported by Anas bin Malik

A time will come when the sky is torn apart; when the stars scatter, and the ocean drains away; and when the graves are tossed about, and laid open. At that time every man will be told what he has done, and what he has failed to do; and every woman will be told what she has done, and what she has failed to do.

Thanks for the good wishes from everyone. Things are very good, but we have another hoop to jump through so the waiting continues. The interview went very well, challenging questions, but nothing that we did not expect or read from VJ. They do not ask for the affidavidt of support. They do ask for a new court paper that is not on their list of documents to bring. We knew about it from a couple of december interviews andobtained one. BUT the consulate said there was a blank left on the form so we had to get another one. It is an easy report to get, but i think you need to get it from the court over the region of your birth and my fiance lives about as far from CASA as you can get in Morocco.

They asked him to return the next day but because of the distance he is going back on Monday. so more waiting. It's more a pain because of the expense and time factor to travel back and forth to Casa than it is a disappointment i think.

Its been difficult to talk with my fiance because he has been traveling back home. We did have a long talk while he was in Meknes waiting for the bus. There was some confusion immediately afer the interview as to what the CO was asking for and I paniced, but after this talk and knowing more about the details (and not being 5 am) everything seemed to make sense and that there was no real problem in Casa. He was very confident that the CO believed him, and he seemed to understadn that everything was good with the visa as soon as we turn in what they ask for. I am less confident than that- knowing anythign could go wrong.

I thought MOnday would be the end of all this and we would just wait for the visa, now we wait some more. I am a slow processer so the more the time passes the more i understand that everything was very good yesterday. Now if I could just get over this head cold, get through getting back to work, recover from a procession of out of town guests and hear happy resutls out of casa, i will be just peachy.

Well that sounds very positive, MBP !! In fact it seems they are just crossing their T's and dotting their I's with the paperwork.

Sorry about the extra travel hassle. I suppose he could have it sent by courier, but you I understand if you'd want this to be personally hand-delivered -- it's pretty crucial !

Did they ask to keep his passport ? Bummer if he has to go back a second time to deliver the paper, and then a third time to leave his passport, and then a fourth time to pick it up. (But do they care ? No.)

Insha'allah you are on the brink of success. Wishing you Godspeed in getting the paper in and processed, so the visa can be in hand very soon !

Insha'allah biltawfeek !

Nope. Casa is one of those consulates that doe snot keep the passport. so one more trip to deliever the paperwork. One more trip when then say come bring us your passport and then one more trip when he is ready to fly out. All of these trips to Casa are cutting into the airplane ticket to Houston. (with bus, trrain, hotel etc)

I pray everything goes well for you. Exactly what is this new form they are asking for?

It's similar to the police report. Some have said its a more reliable record than the police report because of the possibility for bribes, but thats just guess work. You still need the police report. If i can I will get my fiance to scan a copy and will post.
