Hello there!

Me and my wife has just received an invitation letter from a relative in the US and is planning to schedule an interview at the USEM. We are Filipino citizens working in S with S and E pass. My questions are:

1. Are there anyone in this forum got an approved tourist visa in USEM in Singapore even they are Filipino citizens?

2. If approved, what wh]ere the documents and assets you presented?

3. If denied, what were the documents and assets you have then?

Because we want to know if our assets are enough to get a tourist visa.

Thank you in advance!

Assets are just one factor.

Thank you! Our only strong tie in SG is our contract and in the PH it is just our house and a car but not titled to us.

Contract in SG can be easily broken and a house and car in Philippines is not a strong tie either.

What kind of invitation letter did you receive from your relative in the US? What is the purpose of your trip?

Hi! thank you for your reply. It is just a simple letter that they are inviting us to be there this year but no sponsorship mentioned on the letter, just visit in the US. We just want to relax and probably try our luck to get a job though I was told that it is close to impossible.

The previously mentioned factors notwithstanding, a history of legal third-country residency without overstay is a big plus

We really didn't overstay but we went in SG as tourist years ago and applied for jobs that how we got our contract and stayed here since then.

A friend told us too that one of the people we know will email the USEM in SG about our plans, will that affect our tourist visa application?

You can not legally work in the U.S. if you enter on a B-2 (visitor/tourism) visa.
