Missing Document List - DS230

Has anyone had this happen? The letter says that the DS230-I is missing but I sent it in December. The NVC has recieved the I864 but however are missing the DS-230. I am going to call them on Tuesday and ask if they have made a mistake. Should I have my husband fill out another form and send it to me? My alumni is down on their anual trip and he can send it with the proffesor on Wed.

Or is this what happened as they finish reviewing I-864, the computer automatically generates the letter withouht verifying that if it has received the DS 230.

Has this ever happend to any of you? Any adviced would be appricated.

Hi BelwinMills,

It is a good idea to call NVC for your peace of mind. However, same thing happened to me, i.e. the automated message said something along the lines of "your information is incomplete blah blah" and I got the letter claiming "missing information". I called them a few times and everyone told me to ignore the message if I have already sent my DS-230 papers.

Yep, same happened here. Got that message on the auto-response system on a Friday. I was puzzled what documents were missing. When the I-864EZ had been approved, apparently the DS230 had not caught up yet, since we used the shortcuts. I called NVC the following Monday and learned that everything was fine and the case was completed within a week. The "missing documents" letter actually arrived after the case was completed!!
