I know there are things going on that are slowing down the interview to visa issuance time. I am by no means panicking, as I know the 3 days since Candy's successful interview is not only not too long, it is not even average yet.

A few hours after her interview concluded, it went from Ready interview to Ready, exactly what I expected. But no movement since then, and it is now 3 days post interview.

So what sort of times have all of you experienced lately about the rest of the time, e.g. first time it moved to administrative processing, time of issuance, etc?

I know it varies from case to case and by no means is anyone's case a marker of the speed we can expect from ours. And I am not panicking as it has only been 3 days, not even average yet. Just want to have a reasonable idea.

Thank you. How long until we see that ISSUED?

I know it is what it is and nobody lower on the food chain than God could speed it up. Just want a reasonable idea because we want to plan things out.

Don't worry we won't buy the plane ticket to New York until visa in hand. We know that already.

There's no real logic in the CEAC status movement because each case is unique and the time each case is processed depends on the consul.

Sometimes it go ready, ready, issued. or ready, ap, ready, issued. :jest:

Anyway, hope you get it real soon.

Of course but the more reports I get the more I can get an average and a better idea. And for that matter so can everyone else.

This is kind of like a post interview Igor's list. Nobody can predict from Igor's list how long it will take, but the averages there are nevertheless helpful information.

MrsNurr I appreciate your trying to help very much but I was only looking for USEM data.

Not to scare you, but I experienced probably one of the worst case scenarios (compared to what I've been seeing here so far). Interview was on March 24, I only got my visa on May 16, and only after numerous followups by my fiance to the Manila embassy (on one morning he called 15 times before he got to talk to anyone who wasn't reading off a script). I waited a total of 8 weeks. My status jumped between Ready and AP 2 or 3 times. My heart jumped daily for those 8 weeks, lol.

I hope you guys fare better, you might be getting it next week! Best of luck

AOS process timeline

Not really, as there isn't an average time, way too many variables. Last year there were a fair number getting their visas in 3 days, this year... not even close.

Once the visa is ISSUED (still needs to be printed and picked up by 2GO) the embassy states it can be 5-10 more days before delivered.

I am sorry it happened to you and am very glad you finally got it. But if this is a bad one, at least that tells us that most of us can expect something somewhat faster.

Hank, I know that things are a lot slower this year, and i am ready for it. I have no reasonable expectation of 3 days; in fact my 3 days are already up. If it takes 2 to 3 more weeks, so be it. We survived not seeing each other since July 2013, so the chance of surviving same for another 2 to 3 weeks is quite high. I just hate to guess, especially when it is something as important as this.

Candy observed when she was there that the number of applicants who got 221(g)s for incomplete documents was startingly high, probably something like 60 to 70 percent of the total. She spoke to a number of them, and they just did not know what to bring. The clerk who released her told her expressly that all her documents were in order, and she should expect her visa "shortly".

Well "shortly" is a subjective term. One person's version of shortly is another person's version of forever.

I think absent any additional data, I will figure on 2-3 more weeks.

Hank without this place I doubt we would have done it right. No doubtr without your advice Candy would have not made it through CFO at least on the first attempt,. since I could never have conceived that they wanted my tax return as proof of singleness.

Candy will go to the province on Sunday and wait there until the visa is ready. She will be happier there than being idle in Manila, as she can be with her family, they have a farm, and she can help them out. Of course both of us would rather she be here, but since we are stuck with the time anyway, I remember an expression: Use the time; don't let the time use you

Once the visa is ready she will collect it in Manila and board the plane to New York.

I belong to the F2B category (Unmarried Children over 21 years old of Legal Permanent Residents/Greencard Holders) so my case is different from your fiance. My interview schedule was 6:30 am. The very nice lady (she was really polite and always smiling) at the releasing section told me my visa got approved. I was done at around 9 am. When I get home, I checked my Visa Status at CEAC in the evening and it says Issued.

It took 7 days from interview date (Saturday & Sunday included) to receive my visa delivered by 2GO courier service.

Even though you are a different category, that is helpful because that tells me the mechanics of getting from ISSUED to in your hands takes about one week.

I am glad you got yours so quickly.

I will of course keep everyone posted on our progress.
