For 2013 you would write $0 and write was not required to file. You can also write in a coverletter. But you will need a co-sponsor more tan likely with no 2013 income.

Correct, but it depends on what kind of job and income, now and in the past. Taking a year off doesn't disqualify the currently employed as sponsors. They will evaluate the totality of circumstances. Even if filing the I-864 now, there will be six months or so of time on the current job by the time the visa decision is made. If income is clearly sufficient and appears secure, I would not expect a problem. If marginal, get a joint sponsor.

There are no "co-sponsors" in immigrant visa cases.

I make 11/hour...my sister is going to joint sponsor...she just fills out an I-864 just like me correct?

So this means I DO NOT have to file taxes for 2013? Just "write in the box 0 on the i-864 and explain in the cover letter than I did not work or receive any income for the year 2013?"

Thanks for the help!! :)

If your sister is single, yes. You don't need a letter. You can just hand write on the 2013 space "No income. Not required to file."
