IMO, your initial approach was wrong, wasting days.

Why didn't you start with the release form? Fax that in with your letter of inquiry, it'll get to the immigration liason staffer.

Senator Boxer NEVER contacts USCIS - it's always the immigration liason staffer.

Want to know who it is? Call Sen Boxer's office, ask for the name of the immigration liason staffer.

If you need more help with engaging with your Senator's office, let me know - happy to Help !

Darnell,

My name is Hector and I came to the US on a K1 visa. I am currently thru the AOS process.

I have contacted my congressman to ask his assistance with an expedited work permit request but its been a week so far and nothing has changed in my EAD status; (All the expedited EAD requests I have seen in this forum, involving a congressman have taken no longer than a couple of days, so I am not sure if my congressman actually contacted the USCIS or not. His liaison told me they did contact the USCIS but I am not sure). I have a pending job offer that I am afraid to lose and I don't know if its a good idea to contact senator Boxer and ask for her immigration liaison help.

What do you think I should do?

Thanks a lot for your help!
