I understand I have to file a I-864 myself and a Co-sponsor will do a I-864A but on my app first section is confusing me

1.A. I am the petitioner. I filed or am filing for the immigration of my relative.

1.E. I am the ( first ) or (second of two co-sponsors)

Which one should i check

You are the Petitioner and the Sponsor so 1 A.

Your joint sponsor would fill out 1.E.

Are they a household member (you are all living together) if not they should be filling out also a I-864.

You do not use co-sponsors in a immigrant visa case. There is no such thing and no such option to check. The petitioner is always the petitioner and provides their own I-864. It sounds as if your friend will be the QUALIFIED sponsor, so friend provides an I-864 with their information. YOU don not "use a friend's taxes" for anything an unless they are self employed, they do not qualify as sponsor based on tax information.

Start by carefully and completely STUDYING the instructions for the I-864. Then, come back with questions that can be addressed based on your actual circumstances.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...
Understanding the big picture is priceless. Anonymous

i-864ez is just a shorter version if you meet the 4 criteria (you do not meet the criteria nor can your joint sponsor).

Here's the form.

Part 6

I have no income full time student filing a separate I-864 and co sponsor

4. Unemployed ??? Should I check yes or No?

Should I out zeros where it asks the amount of taxes and such?

6.A. it asks about the people should i leave it blank?

The co-sponsor is not a family member so i should leave it blank?

or do i have to mention the Co- sponsor on my I-864 and will they have to do the same in there application?

I think those are all my questions please help?
