Hi everyone, we are on the AOS process for my husband now(just had biometrics taken) and we want to bring his son to visit by december. We are from Argentina,that is were his son lives also. He is only 8 years old,so we should just file for a tourist visa ?

Can't say however how likely it is for a tourist visa to be approved. It will be assumed that his intention is to make it to the US and stay with his father and new family. A hard hurdle to overcome.

BTW if you do manage to get a visitor visa, you will need to pay extra for the ticket if the child is travelling alone. I pay an extra $300 ($150 each way) each time my daughter flies back and forth with United and I think most of the airlines are simliar. They also won't let a child under a certain age fly on their own if they have to change planes or have layovers, it normally has to be a direct flight.
