My fiance just recieved her appointment letter for 2/7 in Bogota, Colombia. She has a 3-year old daughter, whom will accompany her to The U.S. We included her on the original I-129 form. We also completed DS-230 and DS 157 forms for her as well. Does she need to attend the interview? I assume she will need the same medical exam as her mother...Is that correct? In packet 3, there was no mention for a K2 visa for the Daughter...I just made copies of the original forms completed ones for her as well...any information would be greatly appreciated.

I went thru the Embassy in Manila, Philippines. there, if the child is accompaning the mother to the USA, the child must also be at the interview. the child would also have to have a medical. you did the right thing by preparing separate DS forms for the child. you mentioned the daughter's name was included in the original I-129f, that's good. you might want to call the Embassy to verify they have the daughter in their system.

In Kiev, if the K-2 is under the age of 14 then the interview attendance is optional. Medical required however. Good advice to contact the embassy for there procedure
