On May 20, 2014, we received your correspondence for your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN . You will receive a notice in the mail when further action is taken on this case.

We received the NOA2 on May 12. I called NVC the lady said that they don't have my case. I am confused. My hubby doesn't want to call to find out. We did not send anything to them aside from the applications before. And now, the status is back to initial review. I am lost and confused.

You said you called NVC. The status is changed at USCIS that's who you need to call. They do post NOA2 announcements in error time to time. You need to call them soonest and verify whats going on. NVC would not know anything.

ya, USCIS won't talk to the beneficiary at this stage, at all.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

ok, so let me get this right…. You got your NOA2 approved on May 12. You saw this online or do you mean you got the hardcopy in mail for your NOA 2 approved? Generally, once your I-130 is approved from USCIS, few days afterwards they send you an email/text stating that your paperwork is shipped to NVC. This ONLY happens if you or your partner has signed up for case status update. DId you do that? And then on May 20 you got the above stated message from USCIS? Most probably there is an error in the system which is the higher probability. You do not need to call NVC, they don't even know you exist. LOL. You or your hubby needs to call USCIS and find out the glitch or just wait to get some information in the mail So don't stress, keep positive and it will happen. Best of luck.

We did not receive any text or email from them, we found it out on the site but hubby received the NOA2 hardcopy last May 16. So we are approved. I don't know what is going on..

We already received the NOA2 hardcopy on May 16. Yesterday I saw this new status about they received correspondence and we did not send any to them.

If you got NOA2 hardcopy, you are approved. So first of all congratulations. As another poster said earlier, the actual case file will be shipped to NVC soon. Probably in 4 weeks or less. But maybe next week have the petitioner call USCIS to find out if and when your case file has been shipped. Then count another 2 to 4 weeks (from the date the file was shipped to NVC) before starting to call NVC to find out if they 'got it'. Once NVC acknowledges that they have it (acknowledging receipt), give NVC another 4 weeks to assign a Case # and IIN.

This process is stressful..hope its only a glitch though

I ma pretty sure and also dwheels76 said it too. I guess you are the chosen one. Sorry bad joke. The easiest thing would be for your hubby to call up and find out but i understand if he doesn't want to. You will have to think positive thoughts and since you are in the bahamas, go to the beach and enjoy the breeze and get zen about it.
