Hi guys

Had my interview on Monday and my status changed to Issued yesterday. I am picking up from a DX depot and I was wondering how long it takes after status changed to 'issued' before you can pick it up?

Anyone know if you get sent an email to say it is ready? And if so - who will send it? The US embassy or Dx?

I got an email from the IV unit of the Embassy telling me a tracking number. (NOT DX)

With the tracking number I was able to go to the DX website and see if it had been picked up and where it was. I eventually called DX when the status was 'Out for delivery' because I was picking up from the depot and I had to confirm they weren't trying to deliver it and it was available for me to collect.

I interviewed on Monday too and I got the email from the embassy with the tracking number today so you should get yours soon :)

Do you remember how long after it went to issued you got the email from the IV unit at the embassy? Hoping to pick it up on Friday or Saturday! :)

I got my email on Monday 19th (CEAC said issued on 15th) then visa was delivered yesterday, 21st. Had it not been delivered by Royal Mail I think I'd have got it on the 20th.

haha.. is it being delivered tomorrow? thats great.. i didn't opt for home delivery, so i have to pick mine up once i get this mail. I have a feeling it may well be ready to be picked up tomorrow, but without the email i won't know that!

Any idea of the package comes with instructions on the BBE?

It basically says don't open it, and hand carry it.

Mine was taped closed with an official stamp over the top of it.

Oh and it was a white envelope, not a brown one :)

It does come with a small bit of paper (1/3 of a4) outlining what happens once you enter the country, and become a legal permanent resident.

Thanks for that info was wondering about what the package was like.

I was an idiot... I kept entering my postcode on the DX tracker then remembered I was picking it up from the DX depot in Exeter. Finding the place in the middle of a big industrial estate is tomorrows challenge lol
