I can't speak for everyone, but I don't see how that could scare people. IMO, it is good to know all of the possibilities, especially with something that can be intimadating as AOS. Harpa constantly provides helpful information and advice on this site, and I never got the impression that she purposely scares people. However, I will admit that there are a few posters that do.

01/09/2018 Interview (passed tests and recommended for approval)

01/23/2018 Online status updated to "Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled"

03/14/2018 Online Status updated to "Oath Ceremony Notice Was Mailed" (letter received 03/17)

03/28/2018 Oath Ceremony...wife is a U.S. Citizen!

Ours was on time, but took about an hour. I would still say it was a "normal" interview, and the officer was very nice. We were adjusting from F-1 too.

Day 0 - 2 May 2012 Mailed AOS package overnight delivery
Day 139 - 17 September 2012 Interview & APPROVED on the Spot!! :)
Day 145 - 23 September 2012 Received Green Card!

ROC - Eligible June 19 2014

Day 0 - 18 June 2014 Mailed ROC package via 2 day priority

Day 42 - 29 July 2014 Approval and Card Production Email

Day 49 - 5 August 2014 Received Green Card

Hello Everyone!

I just wanted to inform you all that I got approved. Hurray! It took about only 15 mins and officer looked strict at first but he was fun later. The officer asked us basic questions like our name, birthdate, ssn etc. Then he said congratulations.

Good luck to all who are in the same process.

Congratulations! when you said you were asked for your name, dob ,ssn, do you mean you gave yours and your spouse give his/hers? or vice versa? like you had to give your spouse's info and your spouse had to give yours?

Why will you be worried if they ask you your spouse name and dob? You should know that anyway. If you can't remember your spouse's SSN, just tell the interviewer you can't remember.

My husband easily forget things. Now, that happens to me too and I am sure normal this happens to everyday people specially when they are nervous, tired or stressed out. and I AM NOT WORRIED, I was just asking to clarify that part of the post. Even IO know that real couple do not know every single detail of their partners such as what color of underwear he is wearing, what color socks he wears on Monday, etc. Just saying. My native language is Spanish and I think in Spanish before talk in English, when I am asked for my SSN I have to say it in Spanish in my mind first then translate it. You should know that not everyone operates the same as far as remembering and processing information.

LOL it's okay. People forget things and that shouldn't harm. Just prove by evidence that things are real. Sometimes you can look at the paperwork to confirm the dates or any other things that you are not sure of.
