Yup, it's required for everyone leaving the country with immigrant visas (including K1s). http://www.cfo.gov.ph/

If you are taking your CFO in Manila, you have to pre-schedule online: http://gcp-appointment.cfo.gov.ph/

For CFO Cebu, it's still first come, first served. Do check out Hank's site for more info, especially with reference to the required docs.

Does it require for everybody who apply for K1 visa? Yes. It is mandatory that you attend the CFO class and pass. A sticker will be placed in your passport once you complete and are approved for your visa. If you took the CFO class prior to the visa being issued, you will need to return to have the sticker placed inside the passport. If you take the CFO after the visa, have your CFO sticker applied upon completion of the class. You will need your passport with visa inside.

When does it usually conducted? It is conducted M-F except Philippine and American holidays.

Can I complete the seminar while waiting for interview schedule? You are required to show that you have a interview scheduled prior to taking the CFO. When you register and schedule your interview you are then allowed to attend the CFO seminar.

There is not a CFO office in Quezon, only Manila and Cebu.

If your parents are age 60 or older then only need to register at CFO

Even if you have a passport they will still require you to provide two valid photo id's because the passport is one of the requirements. I used Postal and Philhealth IDs, you can get those in just a day. NBI will be considered too.

I agree.. I went last September 8, and one lady was insisting that passport was an id.. However, those government people said, passport is an id, yes. But thats a requirement, we need two more ids. She couldnt show them, so she was asked to come back some other time.
