Hi I petition both my parents to immigrate to the US on the same date.

But their cases were separated when transferring from USCIS to NVC.

Now my mom's case has completed the Affidavit of Support, DS-260 and was assigned the GZO number.

But my father's case is still waiting for the NVC case to be assigned.

Once my father's case is assigned with the NVC case number, can I request expedite the case so they can go to the interview together? Would that delay my mother's case processing?

And based on my mother's current case status, would she be scheduled for interview in Guangzhou in August?

thanks a lot!

uh - in a previous post of yours, I had suggested that you go slow on the first one,

waiting for the 2nd to get caught up

and ACT on the 2nd one to move it along (pay fees, ENROLL in EP, etc)

but I think you missed something.

If you want to get them joined up successfully, now,

you must call into NVC, get a supervisor, and talk with them:

1. ask for 1st one to be held and

2. ask for 2nd one to get released for further processing.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

thanks Darnell, I didn't see your reply on the previous post.

I tried to call NVC many times, but can't dial through. Seems like the only time I can dial through is at late night, but if I want to speak with a supervisor, do I need to call during the day?
