Robinson's No Added Sugar Apple and Blackcurrant. In fact, I miss ALL squash/cordial. You just can't get it here. All the equivalent drinks are pre mixed and FULL of sugar. I have managed to find one that isn't, but it IS a rarity.

OMG OMG I LOVE LOVE LOVE Lemno Squash! LOVE IT. AND I am obsessed with Cordial. NO one down there can BELIEVE we don't have it in the states. I LOVE IT. We bought a huge bottle of blackcurrant last visit...this time we couldn't really bring it back with us.

CORDIAL!!!! <sigh>

Finally finished with immigration in 2012!

Can I play too?

Yes, it's Aussie - but same difference.

* Like Lisa, I LOVE those Smirnoff things...Well the one I love isn't Smirnoff, It's called UDL - but those prepackaged vodka drinks are the BEST.

* A good cider, indeed.

* Fish and CHips! We go to the store and get two flake, two potato cakes and chips...all wrapped up in paper and good to go! YUmmmm....

* Schweppe's Lemonade. Yum.

* Aussie Dorito's. SOOO good.

* Any proper Cadbury (And yes I know Aussie Cadbury isn't...but HUSH :) )

* Noooooodles. I miss my noodle bars :(

mmmmm schweppes lemonade

There are some grocery stores (Harry's Farmers' Market in Metro Atlanta area, with Duluth and Marietta branches, is an example), you can actually get many Sainsburys' products (I know I've seen Sainsbury's paneer at both those Harry's branches).

Wow, did I recognize Craig in so many of these!!! (and myself in many of them too!)

Craig would really like some decent sausages, as would I...loveddddd them when I was over there. At least we do have the sausage rolls covered, and they're yummmy. I, agree...and have thanked Sukes many times for that Huffy! :) He also misses his Indian curries..the takout ones...bigTIME! And makes his own that turn out really well, but just not the same. Got some great tips from Cerise and others lately though, so will be trying some other things and when he goes over in Feb. he will be bringing some things back with him. (spices,etc.) Also the crisps, like Walkers, etc. He just thinks there should be a lot larger variety of flavors here, and I agree. My favorite was the worcheshire sauce when I was there...probably not a common fave :lol: but I LOVED them. The choccy is just a given..and I agree, Dove tastes good (to me) but is nowhere near UK choccy...not the same in the least, no matter if Galaxy makes it or not.

Those are the main ones I would say...he's noticed plenty of other things...Ribena, certain really chewy sweets, the bread, our bacon, but these aren't as big of a deal as the sausages, curry, crisps...now those he is going to gorgeeeeeee on while he's there! :lol: I've told him to smuggle some sausages back over in his suitcase....hehehehe. M.

Oh..forgot to mention..his Mum sent me some crisp type things but they were bacon flavored...in the shape of littel bacon pieces...omg..I loved them!! We have all kinds of bacon flavored things here too (like crackers,cheese,etc.) but I haven't ever had a crisp that tasted more like actual bacon...and these were just the Sainsbury's brand ones! M.

Kinda OT but not really. The SO is big time into cooking and so of course has a spice stash. There are some he's going to want to ship (saffron is the first one that springs to mind). Would that cause a brouhaha in customs?

If it is saffron threads then probably not! But I can find saffron here! I got some at a spice store just last week. I've see it else where as well!

Would Black Diamond (or McLaren's) cheese work?

You CAN have foreign--at least, Canuck--cheese shipped to you; also Canuck versions of many Brit candies (also, the ORIGINAL ones in desi stores--btw, saffron is a very common item in these, sometimes it's included in some Basmati rice packets as special).
