The exact question is:

Are you a graduate of a foreign medical school seeking to perform medical services in the United States but have not yet passed the National Board of Medical Examiners examination or its equivalent?

So, taken literally, you should answer "Yes" since you want to eventually perform medical work in the US but as of now have not yet passed any NBME examinations.

I can't check since I already submitted my form and it won't let me click on anything, but if you click "Yes" does it shows an edit box where you can type an explanation? If so, then just explain that you will take the NBME examination after immigrating and before working in your field.

Hi leena,

Actually both questions are confusing whether we should put our answer as of now (our current condition), or the future.....

you can see many discussion held about these issues .... some of them says that you shouldn't show any intend that you're welling to do anything prohibited by US government (i.e working without permits, intending going to US without vaccination ....)

Others says you put YES as you're going to take the vaccinations eventually or you'll getting the work license is something everybody with green visa does...

STILL CONFUSED!!!!!

ME TOO

regards

Mohamed

I think it's quite simple. Here is an example: If you are in an interview and the consular officer says:

1) I see you said you didn't have the vaccinations when you submitted the form, but you have just done the medicals so you have them now; or

2) You said you had documents proving you had the vaccinations in May 2014, can I see that please?

...which question would you rather be answering?

You undertake that you are answering truthfully when you submit the form.
