I know cause I went to the mac store yesterday and the sales guy showed me LOL

Not cause I am some mac expert

Oh, lol. I see. I need the instruction to do the right click because it is just easy to do the task rather than back and forth on the top panel and scrolling down to find copy and paste. Or maybe is it a new Mac has the feature that the sales guy demonstrated to you?

We have one of each.

I have the PC - Toshiba. I really enjoy the daily regiment of 1) Virus Scan 2) Disk Clean 3) Defrag....& repeat.

My wife has the MacBook Pro. She really enjoys the daily regiment of 1) Turn on and use. 2) Turn off when finished.

Makes the choice very difficult...huh.

We use both.. At my main desk (L shaped) when I sit at the PC the Mac is to the left and when I turn to the Mac the PC is on the right.. That way I can swivel left to the mac when I need to post up something pro-Obama .These are both laptops but used with external keyboard/mouse/screen. The windows laptop (windows 7) is used more often - it has tools that I don't have on the mac (photoshop, cyberlink, mp3 editors, sound card capture software, fraps, etc). The Mac is mostly used for IOS development - They are both fine machines to use when using them with external peripherals - I recommend solid state HDs if your windows PC doesn't come with one.

Using them without the peripherals is a different matter.. The mac is a pleasure to use and the PC is torture.. the bulk of windows laptops are 1368x768 or 1600x900 and fewer at 1920x1080.. my mac is close to 3000x2000 .. the keyboard fills better, is back-lit, and the mousepad that makes me insane on the PC feels just marvy on the mac.. but then the mac was 1000 more than the PC.

I have on laptop with windows 8 - so far I hate this O/S..

My wife uses the macbook air. She's sleek, sexy, lightweight, turns on easily and makes very little noise.

What are we talking about here?

A laptop of course. Who ever heard of a wife that makes very little noise?

You shouldn't have to defrag or do disk cleanup daily. Degragging is automatic from Vista on up. Virus scanning can be done automatically, no user action required. Turn on pc and start using. No difference at all.

You need a modern laptop with higher resolution or even Quad HD. 1368x768 is only on cheap new laptops. If your going to compare apples to Apple, you need to buy a top end Windows based pc, not a $400 one and compare it to a $2000 Mac.

Yup, exactly my thought. Vista was a failed products and unfortunately my first experience had one in my laptop wasn't a good one. Windows XP is still the best so far compare to the other ones from Microsoft.

Windows 7 blows XP out of the water.

How much would said windows unit cost? That which is comparable to the IMac?

Listen to him NB. It sounds like he knows what he talking about.
