My edit: Though they are not as good as they used to be, which is annoying me. I had one computer that my family recycled amongst us kids for at least a decade.

Solid state drive will fix that, once it's out/common.

Though they will probably be evil and make something else breakable... the tech people I talk to are all like "oh, it will break down eventually. That's how electronics are." I say bullshit to that.

They're built to last, truth. Heck, I was thinking about upgrading, then I realized, there's nothing wrong with it..

Mac. I work with windows, and I can't wait to be rid of it by the end of the work day. I love my mac. As for never breaking, that isn't really true. I had a first generation macbook and it had MAJOR issues. The second one I got hasn't had much of a problem. knock on wood.

As I said earlier I think, at one point in life I was Microsoft certified system engineer NT and 2000. Cisco etc

However Windows has changed so much I hardly can work on my wife's Windows 8 machine. The Ipad is so nice and everything just works without any tweaks, malware etc.
