Dear VJ members

I have paid AOS fees, IV fees, submitted form DS 260 online and have couriered AOS documents also to NVC on 5th May 2014.

Can someone please guide me for the following queries :

1. What are the exact list of documents to be submitted for AOS ?

2. Will NVC notify us about receipt and verification of documents ?

3. When can we expect an intimation from NVC about interview scheduling ? (Please note my consulate is Mumbai)

4. What is approximate wait time from submission of DS 260 to getting green card ?

It been almost 10 months we have filed petition for green card, since my hubby is USA citizen. We have been staying in different countries post marriage :(

Any help/pointers are highly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Regards

1. What are the exact list of documents to be submitted for AOS ? If you sent them why are you asking what to send? Read the NVC process Wiki in my signature

2. Will NVC notify us about receipt and verification of documents ? Nope

3. When can we expect an intimation from NVC about interview scheduling ? (Please note my consulate is Mumbai). When you get Case Complete. You will then be in the queue. It's all about when you get complete. its usually a 1 to 2 month wait for your embassy. Click on the Case Complete to Interview spreadsheet also in my signature.

4. What is approximate wait time from submission of DS-260 to getting green card ? No one can tell you that. You have to get interview, Pay your Green card fee ($165), get to the US, it could be 6 months who knows. That's a broad question.

You already paid fees. You say you sent in AOS package what of your IV Package where is that?

Thank you dwheels76 for the quick response :)

If you can please let me know about when will I get to know that my case has been completed ? through any formal mailer or website ?

My husband has submitted IV documents as well along with AOS documents, Though he did not send the police clearance certificate as I am in India and was informed by Mumbai Consulate that Police Clearance certificate needs to be carried along during interview.

I hope we have not missed out on anything....

Yesterday we got mail from NVC stating that Tax return for last year was not found in the documents we sent. Though we are very sure of sending it. Have couriered the entire list of documents again to them. They would require 20 business days to verify the papers :(:(

Just to put my mind at ease..Can someone please provide the exact list of documents we need to submit for AOS and IV?

Also, once AOS and IV docs are verified, case is completed at NVC ?

Please help
