Hello,

My case is with the NVC - I just posted off my police checks and it was the last thing on the checklist before they send me for a medical. What happens now? My PD date was Jun 2012.

This is crazy.

You will have to wait, a bit more maybe for case complete and interview letter, because your PD is not current.

If the PD is current in Sept/Oct bulletin, how long from the time of the medical to the date of the interview at the embassy?

Such a shame, I waited 2 years for my I-130 to be accepted and now they are really doing this.

Once your case is complete with the NVC. It will wait in the queue (by order of case complete date) until your PD is earlier that the cutoff date. You will get the IL from the NVC about a month before the scheduled interview.

You actually don't need the PD in the visa bulletin to be current, just later than your PD. HTH

The interview date will be given first, hence the interview letter. You can do the medical once you have the I/L, before your interview date.
