The original 30 days for Penny calling someone a sock puppet was ridiculous. How does that even equate to a ban? It really doesn't matter about past offenses on something so ridiculous as that.

It was a huge bonehead ban. Didn't make sense to me unless there is some mod that had a personal vendetta.

I was a 2nd Lt one time. I went from being a nobody to a military officer all of a sudden. I admit I was probably an insufferable #######. As you mature and get use to power, I truly believe most good leaders don't feel the need to project it. 13 yeas as an officer and 28 years in industrial management I learned that having real power means, you are such a good a manger, people want to do for you, out of respect not fear.

Having said that. Yes we do have a mod, maybe two who have that new 2nd lt syndrome, and really should not be Mods.I know it's hard when you are the leader of new leader who is out of control. You have to walk a fine line between supporting your people and trying to keep them in check. Sometimes that is not easy

Ever notice how Tbone talks to people. In a civil, adult manner. When he closes a thread he usually say something like :

" Sorry guys this thread had gotten out of control and I had to close it, all the usual stuff, please don't restart. Thanks- Paraphrase

Some Other mods- " This thread closed because of Violation of TOS and petty bickering. Members have been warned.and Admin action has been taken. I would highly suggest none of you attempt to discuss or reopen or drastic action will be taken , I will not hesitate to act. You have been warned."-Paraphrase

Both say the same thing, but one makes you want to cooperate and the other just pisses you off. The goal is to get people to cooperate, not show them who is boss.

Maybe they could all take some leadership classes from Tbone

Th suspension was way out of line. Penny was a bonehead to do what she did too after that to get banned but the original suspension made a cause and effect that should have been remedied immediately. It won't but should have. It is the only fair move on their part.

Yes but some can say the right things but be part of the problem. They can also be capable of having personal vendettas and use their mod powers to "take care of" someone. Also it is the ones that would surprise you they are that way.
