I don't get the fixation with +1's. It's only there as an indication that people agree with a given post. What's wrong with that?

I agree. I think it's silly also

The people who are jealous because they don't get as many +1's as the other posters, like to assign different meanings to them. They even go so far as to make up a fictitious gang as to why other posters get so many. If they would just face the simple truth that most folks don't agree with their posts, it would be much easier.

But what you keep missing is , we don't care if you agree or not. We don't need reinforcement to believe what we believe

Giving a bunch of +1's to NB might boost his confidence and help him with the intimidation he feels when dealing with intelligent women.

Only problem is you said most of them here are not

You obviously do care. If you didn't, the +1's wouldn't be such an issue for you.
