See, here's the deal. Sorry to talk about you like you're not in the room NB. This sexism/racism stuff it's very similar. NB says really sexist things, all the time. He believes some of what he says and he def treats women differently and thinks they should be. But, he doesn't hate them. It has everything to do with his environment/up bringing, all that stuff. Do you ostracize the grandma that refers to a candy as n-word toes, make a big deal about NB saying something about how he doesn't understand women and their emotions or something. It's dismissive as hell but where does it rank on the "let it slide meter" you know? He is a nice guy, I believe that. I think most of his comments are are not intentionally malicious or dismissive. It's just he doesn't do well with considering a female point of view. But he's prob great to his wife, they prob love each other, and they prob have a good working and mutually respectful relationship. We know how influenced people are by their environment. How much slack should people be given? Should Paula deen's publi life be over if she admits she said the n word in her life and then apologizes for it? Prob not. We're so eager to dish out justice against those that spew hate on the rest of us, we tend to make examples out people that are guilty of speaking without thinking. People should have the chance to apologize and be forgiven. It's the Christian thing to do yanno?

How much slack should people be given? Should Paula deen's publi life be over if she admits she said the n word in her life and then apologizes for it? Prob not. We're so eager to dish out justice against those that spew hate on the rest of us, we tend to make examples out people that are guilty of speaking without thinking. People should have the chance to apologize and be forgiven. It's the Christian thing to do yanno?

i think on the internet, in this sort of setting, it should be a popular vote of the regular posters. if someone is truly intolerable the majority opinion would prevail.

Thank you Dr. Freud . Do you charge by the hour? I am glad you blessed off on my wife and our relationship. I will sleep tonight . You are right, I don't understand women and there emotions at times, and please introduce me to a man who does, and not sue why that is dismissive. Same thing I hear from women about how silly men think and act at times.

See the difference in me and you. I believe what I believe and I don't need Plus 1's and other people agreeing with me, to validate how I feel. Have you noticed a trend, amongst the left leaning people here.? They are like a pack of sharks. One will take a nibble and then 5 or 6 more will come in plus oneing, high 5 ing each other. The middle and the right tend to be loners. We have no clue how many plus one's we have and never give out of them. we don't swoop in to pat each other on the back, every time one of us utters some kind of nonsense.

In other words we have the courage of our convictions and don't need to be validated .

I reckon in short, I don't get a two cents if someone does not like me for being a man, white, or think all white men are the devil. They are free to express their opinion on a internet message board, because it does not affect me in anyway. This is all make believe. It's not real.
