You are correct. Women should not be held to a higher standard of posting, however if you are going to be a grump don't ballistic, call for threads to be closed and report people when they grump back. That is the issue, not the being a grump, smart butt or whatever you want to call it .

And much like Maven said, it is wrong to be talking about women in general terms, so I will take sex out of it .

You as a poster, not the other women tend to do that, and it has nothing to do with Maven, Val, Janelle, and the rest who are more than capable of holding their own.

You're over 40 years old. If it needs to be pointed out to you that sexist commentary is wrong, at this point in your life, there's no hope for you. Most people learn how to behave in their formative and adolescent years.

Sorry but by today's definitions I am sexist. In today's world where the slightest mention that men and women are different receives howls of protest. I don't think women should serve in combat roles or be deployed tactically with men in the armed services. I still believe in opening doors and saying Yes ma'am to women I don't know. I believe that you should never lay a hand on a woman and that it is the mans job to protect and provide a secure safe environment. I think women are better at nurturing kids ( I did not say men can't I just said women are better). I still believe it's ok to pay a woman a respectful compliment.

So yes if those things make me a sexist I guess I am
