Well, since you don't want to let it go, I'll explain so that you understand better.

the knob slobbering boy toy part referred to your almost daily penchant for chiming in on many of MBDs posts, rarely with anything substantive, and often just mocking or otherwise denigrating others on VJ. The Hamas part was because in another thread, you seemed to be supportive of their actions against Israel.

I apologized to MBD because even though he says inflammatory things at times, even though he has been known to toss out the insults when people don't agree with him, and even though he seems to hold my country in low regard... he is very good at presenting facts. In short, I have learned from him and his abrasive attitude in the time that I have been here. And I have been around the world enough to know that in person, he is probably not the same as he appears here, most likely more tolerable. Most are, I think.

I did not apologize to you because I didn't really remember that part of my rant, it was secondary to my attack on MBD. I don't like the way you suck up to him, and for the way that you insult others on here, often with little value added to a topic. But if that's your style, so be it, I have no more right to ask you to be civil than I have to ask you to pull up your pants I reckon. You are slightly more credible (in my opinion) than TheTruth was. That's why I chose to block you a while after I did her. Which I now know is a waste of time, since I see half or more of what is posted due to quotes. So I will unblock you, and hope I can find more logic and less hatefulness in your posts. To your credit, it seems you may have been doing less of that lately, but it's hard to say, because I don't see everything you post.

I will apologize for the "knob slobbering" part of my comments to you, that was uncalled for. The part where you jump on MBDs bandwagon all the time like you feel a need to praise him, that sticks, cuz that's the way I see it. "Boy toy" is the wrong term, I think "biggest fan" may be the more PC way to say it.

And if you tell me that you are not a supporter of Hamas, I will add an apology for saying that. Just seemed to be your leaning in another thread, and I was particularly tired of hearing people support a group of people who hide behind civilians (not only here, but other sources too), and I took that out on you. If you DO support the terrorist activities of Hamas, then stick it.

Bravo. You summed it up perfectly. I blocked him for the same exact reason. He rarely added anything of substance other than to demean and be little people. As you and I said, at least MBD makes you think. Also as you said, it does little good, since his posts show up anyway in quotes. If I blocked people that have different view points, 75% of the people here would be blocked, so that argument is silly.

Actually, my definition of a b*tch is pretty much what that person wrote. I did misremember his actual words, but I believe that is very much what he meant.

And I think he simply meant a few had a bad attitude. In fact, I know so. Unfortunately he was not permitted to explain himself.

Nobody has to post with a Miss Congeniality attitude. But when you live in a glass house, don't throw stones. You're the one who keeps stretching it to far beyond what was meant. The Truth had a pissy attitude. So do some of the men. Why would a woman who wasn't a grouch take it that way? You make statements about men here, why would I take offense unless the shoe fit? Or better yet, why would I take offense at all since I wasn't named personally? And even then I probably wouldn't. It's an internet forum.

And why do I take offense? Because this forum has a problem with sexism. There are a bunch of men who talk about how American women are bad and evil, and talk about how to get a docile women, and speak of them like dog breeds. And I will stand against that shite again and again. That's why. Not because I particularly care what that poster, whoever he is, thinks about me or "maybe me."

I don't hate anyone. Like yesterday, when we were talking about the Mag 7, a poster had to chime in with a comment, about people you don't like. I was quick to correct the post, as I am quite fond of several members of the Mag 7. Including the newest

well then I guess the same could be said of Gay people. They could refrain from gay sexual acts, but they are born with that predisposition.

I bring it up because I am being a ball buster. You've made comments that certain female users didn't violate TOS or attack other members which is not true. The sexes seem to stick together here.

I don't know if the men are serious about how they talk about women or if they are just sowing their internet oats. I don't believe everything I read here. My guess is most of them are just pushing buttons and it seems to work well. Trolls. Lots of them. We all do it when it strikes our fancy.

But see, why should women post with a "Miss Congeniality" attitude? Implicit in that idea is some sort of idea that women are on display and get prizes for being nice in a beauty pageant. When men are mean, it's cool boys house fun, and when women are mean, they have a nasty attitude and need the GTFO. It's gendered insults, like "hysteria" and "snarky" etc are only used for women.

It's fine if you don't agree, but can you at least see why most of the women on this forum took it this way?

You are correct. Women should not be held to a higher standard of posting, however if you are going to be a grump don't ballistic, call for threads to be closed and report people when they grump back. That is the issue, not the being a grump, smart butt or whatever you want to call it .

And much like Maven said, it is wrong to be talking about women in general terms, so I will take sex out of it .

You as a poster, not the other women tend to do that, and it has nothing to do with Maven, Val, Janelle, and the rest who are more than capable of holding their own.

I think Cleo might have insulted people, but I never saw any blatant racism or stuff that I see from other posters. I also don't know her account, so if she had suspensions, then I guess she did. I certainly don't think of her as a perpetual offender, and I don't think she was. I will stand by that.

For my part, I talked with her once, made a statement, and she replied with something fairly strong, like "What? That can't be true! It's crazy!" And instead of freaking out, I just explained myself and she said she would try what I suggested.

I think people forget that this is an international forum and what is normal to one person might appear strong to another. As a person from Mass, I would think you would understand that.

Cleo did insult people. She did talk down to people. She got mad when they did it back. The mods had a funny way of showing up whenever that happened. Ditto with Gary and his baiting and then reporting. Cleo was a buzz killer. And she knew it and did it intentionally.
