Yes . We call our little group the PPC. Pinoy planning Committee . It's a joke. Being maried to a Pinay, is like being a fireman. You sit around ready for the bell to ring at all times or you start out to go somewhere, and they say, hun drop by so and so's house, I want to drop something off and it will be 50 miles in the other direction

ROFL.. It's all good. You just do like I do when I catch grammar funnies. I proudly own them.

The little girl on the far right met a buddy of mine about 5 or so years ago. She tried to talk me into meeting a friend of hers. My response was, I would not drive 35 miles for a date, much less fly to the Philippines. Well 2.5 years later I married her friend on the far left.

Yeah, having an intelligent, well spoken woman around is bad for the good ole boy morale.

I may not have agreed with everything The Truth said, but she usually voiced her opinions respectfully. I'll miss her input here.

I do think it was her act and she has done it for years. I have seen her start plenty of exchanges where she was the aggressor and then claim foul when someone returned it. I don't think it has anything to do with taking it personally or not. If you're rude, condescending and circle talk, don't get upset or feign upset when you get a strong reaction, that's all I'm saying. I have no idea what she was like in real life, but kind, polite and respectful would not be the words I would use to describe her VJ persona. I think she was deliberately antagonistic, condescending and baiting in many threads, a sourpuss attitude.

That's it really. I've had plenty of heated arguments with folks here over the years. She was the only one that I can recall that would dish it out, but when it was given back to her, it would be time to run to the mods. She had knack for getting threads closed as well back when they would just nuke the entire thread versus removing offending posts.

Well, I'm working on this memo for my boss. Client doesn't want windmills to go up (I suspect NIMBYism). There's an argument that wind power is being propped up artificially by tax credits and other subsidies, so there's an artificial incentive to use wind. If those are taken away (the tax credit is dead right now, but could be resuscitated) then wind power will become more expensive, and the higher demand for wind will fall. In some places, wind producers actually pay the grid to take the power off of them. So the question is, if you take away subsidies from what's supposed to be a mature industry, can it stand on its own?

However, my background is in responsible investment, and I am generally pro-wind, so this is hard for me to write. I'm trying to check my libturd tendencies at the office door. I should try channelling LIB, might help!

The difference is . When you and I sling a little mud at each other, we do it to a point and then usually realize we are in a circle jerk and stop. I don't think either of us gets mad or reports the other one. We give and and we suck it up and take it in the same spirit .

Some on here, talk about how we should be civil and not engage in personal comments or "hate filled speech" and have a very delicate sense of hate speech.

Then the first time someone disagrees with them or challenges them, the call them names, names, attack them and then report, when they get it back in return.

I know I can take a stick and poke you, G and D, Marvin, Spooky, Maven, Valerie,MBD, Janelle, Darnell and a few more,and I it's not going to result in anything other than some good natured jabbing. Others, no matter how hard they hit, you know you better measure your response .
