Personally I'm all about people posting whatever they want and then letting me make my own decision on whether it's credible or not. I don't need a mod to to decide what's best for me. I've gotten in some pretty heated arguments with Kip back in the day over unions. And even more heated arguments with MBD over that subject and many others. Never once did I ever take it personal or feel the need to involve moderation.

Yeah, me too. But I never thought they would allow it here. You were the one that gave us the context of the Thai forum. The fact that us free members actually got them to undo a ban, change their modding behavior, and undo the mbd/NB ban is pretty big. To ####### on the whole thing because of Kip? I dunno.

I don't know. I don't think the whole "I want to threaten people, and get kids drunk... oh, just kidding" thing is really credible.

Or whatever bad things people say with a "just kidding" afterward.

Krikit said in the other thread there were things we didn't see. And while I don't know the details, I am inclined to believe it, or think it was inevitable.

Yeah and he was toning it down as we went along and asked him to. Can't do better than that. He is also very knowledgable about RUB section and the process here. He could have been an asset.

Kip just sent a message after I asked him and he said:

I got no warning, no nothing. I went to VJ and that's what came up on the screen.

Guess the more open moderation was voted down.

While we don't make it a policy to discuss other members interaction with moderation, Kip was indeed sent a notice about what happened and why. It goes through the Warning Center and it is an automatic send to the email used on the account. I wrote the email and I sent it so I know it went out.

If he states that he did not receive it, then someone is welcome to PM me his email address privately and I will re-send it again to him.

IDK. The bottom line is this place is more entertaining with him here than it is without him here. Whether you agree with him or not. This 109 page thread is evidence of that. Harpa can call that some kind of gay man crush if she wants. My grandfather used to give me beer when I was a kid. BFD. I shoulda called the cops on him I suppose.

As far as that Thai forum, I rarely post there mainly because of their oppressive moderation. VJ is nowhere near as bad as that place.... yet.

I get that you're trying to see the silver lining and all that, but I personally don't get the policy behind it. At the end of the day, it's Ewok's website and he runs it as he chooses.

And I would think that threatening one's ex on public forum of strangers was for venting and a good story. But I don't know for sure either. You make fun of people in the upper forums behind their back, is that serious or are you just joking around? That isn't a dig, just a fair question, IMO. I think you are just joking around and venting.

I talk a lot of smack on here for affect in regards to women and/or marriage but tbh I did almost all the cooking and cleaning during my marriage. The only time she cleaned was when her friends were stopping by, never did she do much other then at those times and not even when we hosted holidays with my friends and family.

Here's an example. Not long before she split when she got her citizenship...she was messing with the vacuum cleaner and I mean she was looking at it hard. I was sitting on the couch watching her trying to figure out what she was looking for and then it dawned on me...she was looking for the power button. It wouldn't be so messed up but it's a vacuum cleaner we had owned for over a year and she had only used it a few times. Now here was my dilemma.... Kira has a bad temper and if you show her something new she would get p1ssed and take as an offense...she had some hangups and that was a major one. So if I got off the couch and turned the vacuum on for her she would go off...but if I didn't help her then she would take it like I didn't care... it was a no win situation. So what I did was walk out the door and had a smoke until she found the power button on her own.

You just had posts deleted in the Black Lace thread a couple of days ago. I didn't hear about Kip trying to kill his other wife, so I missed that. I know he said he did time, but I don't recall it being for attempted murder or involving his ex wife. I remember an unrelated incident where he said he did time, but no need to go there. I'm not taking your replies as defense of moderation, just stating your views on the matter.
