The Black Lager one is a bit weak so understandable. They keep trying new things and sometimes they miss.

They all miss sometimes. I generally like Sam Adams but there are several Sam Adams brews that I am not a fan of. The OctoberFest being one of them. Come to think of it, I don't much care for any of their seasonal brews - Summer Ale, Winter Lager and Alpine Spring aren't much better.

I do like the regular Sam Adams. Very decent beer and I would definitely not say no if offered. Haven't tried their seasonals yet.
