I know what you mean. I never dreamed of a wedding nor having a big one but I do want it to be a little special. We are going to elope and get married I haven't decided if I want to do a quick civil wedding and then just fly to Hawaii for vacation take really nice pictures and call it day. So much to decide.

I hate the idea that my fiance and I have to get married within 90 days of his arrival. Ever since I was a little girl I have always dreamt of my wedding day. There is no possible way I could plan a wedding in 90 days AND help him adjust to being in a new culture all at the same time!

Do a lot of you have this problem? Do you have a quick civil ceremony just to be legal and THEN plan your future wedding? I think this sounds like a good option but I wish it could really all be done in the same day. :crying:

Especially dealing with Casablanca. it is going to be a bit difficult. Like a few others, my fiance and I have planned most of our wedding via the internet, with me sending him sites to look at and then us choosing together what we want to do. I found a beautiful castle that is basically an all inclusive. I went to a meeting with all of the required service people in attendance,(florist, musicians, caterer, etc) and got info, then sent him copies of everything. We now have the entire wedding planned, minus the date. Once he has his visa in hand, we can set a date and still be married in the 90days. It's unfortunate that we (as filers) have to be rushed to get this done, but it's the life of the K1. Since you are just starting, you have plenty of time for planning, trust me... :crying: We are now at 5 1/2 months since filing, with the interview behind us and no end in sight.

ugh thats bad news about casa... but i still hadn't really planned on getting my fiance here until august at the earliest. he's still a student in university and doesn't graduate until july anyway...

and to be able to break the news to my parents ..... i don't think i could call my dad right now and say "daddy im getting married to this man you and mom don't approve of yet and haven't met. so whats my budget for the wedding?!"

i WISH. but i think i need to get him here. settle in. let my parents like him. then plan the event. :(
