I don't participate in this forum often but every time I have a question about immigration, this is the first place I go to.

Thanks to all of you, our case resolved in 13 months for a F2A. We were really lucky that our Priority Date became current at the end of last year, and because of your advice, we were able to get everything processed just before the June visa bulletin changed.

My brother had his interview today and he will be picking up his passport tomorrow. Hopefully our family will be together again by Sunday. Good luck to all of you waiting! Follow the advice of the people in these forums. Don't wait for NVC to contact you, stay on top of your case and call if you have questions. Be proactive!

Thanks again!

share with us how the interview went with ur brother. I mean Q & A.

Thank you all for your well wishes!

My brother's interview was barely an interview. He was waiting for a long time for his name to be called and he fell asleep. By the time he woke up he noticed that the others were gone. He approached the window and the consul told him that she had called his name several times and she thought he had left. She laughed and it was a good start for him because the only question that she asked him was about me, how long I had been in the US and if I had a family. He said I had two kids and she just said: " I'm happy that you get to reunite with your family and see your nephews", then she just told him to come back the next day at 3pm to pick up his passport.

He didn't ask anything, so we didn't know for sure if he was approved or not, but I figured that if there was any problem they would tell him during the interview. Sure enough, the next day he picked up with passport and traveling package. I got him on a plane the following morning and he was processed at the Houston airport. No questions there. They welcomed him into the US and he's been here for almost a month.

We are still waiting for the green card (which I paid for the day he got his passport back), I hear that it takes about 90 days.
