It is not a matter of proveing them wrong... You are having to demonstrate that despite being different than the cultural norm, your relationship is in fact genuine genuine... Spending lots of time together, time spent with family, friends in Nigeria, consistent pattern of communication and be prepared to explain why you love each other and why the age difference is not an issue in your relationship.

well, that evidence should have been presented prior,

as part of the I-130 package with USCIS

or as additional stuff submitted with the DS-260 civil documents into NVC.

Since you had the interview, what paper or paperwork did the Vice-Consul give you? and what's written in it?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Yes, with evidence and how you address those age issues and questions at the interview.

i am also concern about this age diffferent am on nvc stage and soon am gonna have my interview just wondering is theirs gonna be a problem about d age different during d interview... but i believe with plenty of evidence it can be overcomes......IS THAT RIGHT.

The strongest evidence of a bona fide relationship is the evidence of significant time spent together in person. If you haven't spent much time together, you will not have that evidence. The second best, (and also needed no matter how much time you've spent together) is a combination of a well written evolution of relationship letter and examples of how and how frequently the couple communicates, submitted WITH THE I-130. If you didn't submit those things with the petition, you can submit them at the NVC stage, but there's no guarantee anybody will read or consider them when submitted that late. If you missed both those opportunities, there's little chance that taking that kind of evidence to the interview will do any good.

If it's too late in your process for the above, then what you're left with is what everybody needs to do anyway, which is to be very well prepared for the interview with full knowledge of the facts of your own relationship and your petitioners life, family, job and former marriages, along with an excellent plausible story explaining why the relationship is actually genuine.

If you don't actually HAVE a genuine marital relationship (This does not mean simply legally married.) then there's little chance anything you do now, will make a positive difference.

out of curiosity, what is considered an abnormal age gap?

Not that simple. It depends on the local cultural norm. France and Canada are not Nigeria or Pakistan. For example, it is culturally quite abnormal for a young Muslim man who has never married and has no children to be in a bona fide marriage with a woman who is divorced and too old to have his children. In say, Montreal, and without Islam in the mix, probably no big deal at all.

Note however that it is quite common for a young Muslim man who has never married and has no children (from say, Pakistan or Nigeria) to be in a FAKE FOR IMMIGRATION PURPOSES ONLY marriage with a woman who is divorced and too old to have his children.

Thanks for enlightenment Pushbrk and Ebunoluwa.

So you mean the front loaded paperworks itself can confuse the CO? Or the paperworks come the Interviewing country with a notice? Some feels like they already know whom to grant visas, whom to put on AP and whom to deny.

Is that true?
