Visiting fiancee abroad during K1...

Hello all,

My fiancee and I are currently about 2 1/2 months into our K1 process and I was hoping to go and visit him in the UK. My problem is, I want to go and stay for about a month or two.

I know on the Visa waiver, US citizens can travel to the UK for a period of no more than 6 months, which is plenty for me. My issue is that I don't want to buy a ticket home yet as I'm not sure the exact date for coming home.

I was let into the UK before without a return ticket, when I went on a Blue Card (student work visa), but I'm not sure if that was different because I was working maybe?

I have already secured a place to live (with my fiancee) and his lanlords (it's a house share).

Do I show my NOA1 so that they are aware I have no intent to stay in the UK for good as an illegal? Or do I just say I'm visiting, and only explain the NOA1 if they ask further questions?

I'm sure I'm making a slightly bigger deal of this than I should be, but without a return ticket, I worry.

I would keep it as simple as possible. I would buy a return ticket to show you will be leaving before the visa waiver expires, then when you decide to return back to the US, change the ticket (fee will apply). Your reason of stay would be to visit friends/ travel.

I would not sure the NOA1, that would just complicate things.
