Hi,

I am currently on the lookout for interview slots to open. i am a k1 beneficiary and we just got our Manila Case Number. There's one thing I need to ask though, my fiance will be moving to another address sometime soon (where we will be staying when I arrive in the US --- praying that me and my 9yr old pass medical and interview without any hassle), is it alright for me to schedule an appointment online even if I haven't filled up the DS-160 yet? I am thinking of accomplishing the application form after he moves to the new address.

This site has helped us a lot in our journey, Appreciate your inputs! Thanks a lot in advance..

No issue with scheduling the appointment before completing the DS-160.

Thanks a lot, Hank_! I wonder if my fiance changes his address for the second time will this affect the whole process? When he moved back to Missouri from Guam where he was deployed, he changed his address and despite infirming USCIS and NVC of his new address, we were not able to receive NOA2 despite the sfatus on the USCIS website saying that they already sent a second copy. He would call and chase USCIS for the NOA2 coz we know we would be needing this after this K1 process, The same goes with the NVC notification when our petition was approved, He decided to give them a call to get the Case number after one week since he has not gotten the mail yet. He is staying right now with his parents while waiting for all his things and his car to arrive in Missouri and he al

I was thinking since I dont have his I-134 yet, is it okay to just specify his parents address there when he accomplishes the form and when he moves to the new and hopefully last address, i will just use the very latest in my DS-160 in case he moves to a new address before my interview. This is the reason why I haven't done the DS-160 yet.

Just like the rest of the people here, I appreciate your reply :)

Biggest issue with changing addresses you are already dealing with, getting NOAs from USCIS.

I would use his parents address for everything at the moment, no issue with that.

Your fiance can email NVC and they will email the MNL# info so that you having something in writing from NVC for your records.

For sure get the NOA2, like said you will need a copy later.

Thanks AI422 :)

Hank_, we're taking your advice. My fiancee called just now and he said he will keep calling USCIS. I hope they sent it to the new address though because the status tracker also reflected that they changed the address when my fiancee requested for it soon as he left Guam.

He received an email from NVC in response to his inquiry but they did not specify our case number. I told him to keep chasing because it's better to have the confirmation via email (since the mail is taking too long to reach Missouri) than just saying we only got it via phone call. The NVC email specified the Invoice, priority date and the USCIS receipt number but the case number wasn't mentioned. Perhaps they forgot.. It was from DOS that we got the case number because it's so difficult to call NVC. i hope we get a reply with the Manila Case Number soon. :)

Thanks again!

Follow the info I have listed in my link below for contacting NVC to get the case number emailed to you.

Hi Hank_, finally my fiance' got the NOA2 in the mail last Thursday :)

I am still waiting for July interview slots to open. Been checking a lot of times during the day until i reach the maximum limit.. LOL!

I wish they will release the new calendar this week so me and my 9yr old son can have our medical once we have our interview scheduled.. I gotta plan this really well as I have work and definitely don't want any hassle when it comes to filing a leave :)

Thanks a lot for your help :)

Next the approved petition will be sent to NVC where the MNL # will be assigned and the file will be forwarded to the embassy. Normally this takes a couple weeks, but if there are still Yolanda expedites still being processed it could take a little longer. I would suggest waiting a week then emailing/calling NVC

There are more details in my link below... follow the flashing arrow.

We already got the MNL case number from NVC via phone call and a matching email confirmation from them as well a couple of days ago since I have read that some don't even get the NVC letter, I convinced my fiance' to keep emailing them and at last he got the email with the MNL Case number.

The NOA2 we received is the second copy because the first one didn't reach him after he moved back to Missouri..

Exhausted my number of tries on the interview schedule. I will check again tomorrow. The latest available date is May 29 a few minutes ago and it's definitely impossible for me to book that.

I called the embassy today and despite our papers from NVC being sent last May 14 as per NVC's email, until now they said they have not gotten it yet. I wonder how long does it usually take for the papers to reach Manila?

Then you are good to go, have your fiance forward the email from NVC with the MNL # in it to you, print two copies for SLEC, complete the online pre-registration with SLEC and you are good to go for completing the medical!

2nd, when checking the website for interview opening, DO NOT keep clicking on the SCHEDULE INTERVIEW, stay at the dashboard and look to the left side IF there are interview openings the first available date will appear there... if no date is showing on the left side there are NO openings, refresh the page every so often (hit the F5 button), be persistent and patient.

I had it printed already and the requirements for our medical already prepared in 2 envelopes for me and my son. However, given that I am still working and that I learned that visa validity is tied with medical, I am thinking its wiser to book the interview first and do the medical two weeks before the interview date. Still waiting for July calendar to open..

Thanks a lot for the tips, Hank_!
