Hello everyone

I recently received family based I-485 interview notice, but the problem is the petitioner (my dad) is currently out of country and can not make the appointment. on the notice it says

"if you are the son or daughter of a permanent resident, also bring the parent, who petitioned for you, with his or her immigration identification, must accompany you to the interview."

anyone has silimar experience before and showed up without the petitioner? is it a big deal? my attorney said it'd better if he's there but we could prob get by if he cant make it back.

thanks

Not sure about this one but in case of a marriage based aos, absence of a petitioner (spouse) is only accepted if the person is deployed i think.

It is not where I breathe but where I love that I live.
