Hello Everyone,

The USCIS online status shows approval on the filed petition. It says it is being directed to National Visa Center.

Quick question: Any idea how long does this whole NVC process take? I am just trying to be proactive and ready for the final interview day.

Congratulations! :dancing: It depends on what kind of petition NVC is processing for you. Spousal and other family-based petitions are processed in different time frames as fiance visas. Would you mind filling-out your timeline? :)

:oops: ... I couldn't edit my earlier response. Just noticed your thread title. My apologies, OP. For K1s, it used to be 2-3 weeks from NOA2. But recently, I read that NVC has been having some lag and 30 days appears to be their new processing times for getting a case number. :)

You're welcome. After 10 business days from receiving the NOA 2 hard copy, you can probably try and give them a call or an email inquiring for the case number: http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/nvc/nvc-contact-information.html

Hi there!

I got NOA2 on April 21. NVC received my case 8 days later. I called two weeks after NOA2 and got my case number. In my letter from the NVC, it says they sent my petition to the embassy on May 9th, but it was received in London on May 6th. I'm not sure why there is that discrepancy, but it seemed to go pretty quickly for me! Congrats, it speeds up from here!

02/04/14: I-129f Sent

02/0714: I-129f Delivered

02/11/14: NOA1 Electronic Copy Received

02/1314: Alien Registration Number changed

04/21/14: NOA2 Electronic Copy Received

04/29/14: NVC Received Case / LND Number Received

05/06/14: London Received Case

05/13/14: DS-160 Submitted

05/15/14: Medial Exam

05/18/14: Readiness Form Submitted

05/22/14: Packet 3 Received

06/19/14: Interview - APPROVED!!!!
