From I have read on SSA.gov, I understand that when the spouse died

1) widow/widower could get the benefits as early as 60.

2) If widow/widower remarries before age 60, get nothing.

So between now and reach age 60, nothing to collect from SSA as widow/widower?

Unless she's in the home raising the children until they reach a certain age, that is my understanding.
