I don't know, but maybe enough for Switzerland to not be available anymore ;)

Someone wiped out Switzerland? What became of all those poor Switzerians?

ok so either our dishwasher or garbage disposal is leaking. j had to leave for work so i have mopped up the mess all over the kitchen floor with my spare towel ( :( ) but beyond that have no clue what to do. hoping the landlord responds to j's service request asap and comes down.

oh, if i turn the tap over the dishwasher hose all the other way around, will that turn the water supply off and hopefully stop more leaking?

Flying to Seattle on 6 May 2014!

depends how its hooked up.

Usually you can find some valves like these and turn the water supply off. Normally this is under the kitchen sink. #1 is typically for the dishwater. Turn the valve counterclockwise.

it worked, cary. thank you so much. at least the leak has stopped temporarily.

 glad I could help. I bet your landlord will be glad you learned how to do that to. Less damage that way.

the cabinet had signs of water damage before we moved in. many of the cabinets do. that's...not a good sign huh. LOL.

:no::no: it means poorly installed plumbing and/or cheap quality parts were used. Expect more leaks unless they actually repair it properly and replace all the parts.
