Some friends, fil/am couple, went to Fogo De Chao for their anniversary recently. They were shocked to find out they had a imposed tip, where they could only add higher amounts to. They both also only eat well done steak, which apparently was not an option there. They ended up dropping 140 bucks to eat at the salad bar.

We tip the server who brings our drinks at the buffet. Not as much as a full server at the full service restaurant, but something. I do not tip at take out places.

Here they usually bring by fortune cookies on a small tray. I set the tip on the tray.

i usually tip $1 a drink at the bar, unless i've had so many i can't count, then who knows what i tip lol.

restaurants 20% of total bill. wasn't sure about fast food/takeout but now i know.
