Morning all,

update from last night:

- my toe nail fell off. apparently I killed it on a walk with bad shoes. Didn't hurt but never happened to me before lol

mini rant

- late night I ask hubs what's wrong with him since he was not talking (more so than usual) and guess what -

apparently me saying we will go movies this morning because he was barely responding and tired and because it was half the price (since that was the focus each time...find cheapest tickets)...made him feel upset because I did not ask it but told him and while he knows I did not mean it as an order the way I put it ( mind you...I messaged and said "hey we can go tomorrow since our trip to VT is postponned and then when he got back I said "so we will go tomorrow ? Maybe see two movies since its cheaper ? ya ?...he had no response but looked at me blankly and went to sleep....with pizza menu) it upset him "I did not put it the right way"....and he is very sad about me having done an interview over Skype for a job in NYC because he is afraid he will have to move.....so he was very upset with me last night....

*throws hands into the air* I was so glad we were in a good place and can communicate about things like this at least somewhat....apparently not. No clue how to even talk anymore so "it comes out right" I don't even know what he wants or how he else does he want me to speak.....I told him he was being a woman (sorry gals) over analyzing stupid sentences and that I did not understand why he did not just speak up but instead sat there feeling sorry for himself and being hurt over something I did not even know I did.....this cannot be about a stupid movie he really wanted to see on friday...but instead we go saturday....cannot be.

mini rant over

in other news - coffee, banana and oatmeal.

you should have seen him when his parents suggested him getting one..."what ? how would I pay for an apartment, or utilities...I don't make enough money" he had this face of utter disbelief so I am 100% he does not expect to move out at all....I hope for his sake that they do move him out.....although...not sure how they can make him if he does not actually drive or intends to look for a place... not my problem. I am seriously not even going to think about it. done.

Wow. You certainly have been unlucky in love! Not that I can talk- lol!

I made this :)

Looks pretty good. What's the green veggie and how did you cook it? I am assuming spinach? And the meat is almost perfect for me.... little too medium, but if it was perfect for you, that's all that matters!

Morning Jada. I also enjoy oatmeal in the morning. My mom puts blueberries and vanilla yogurt in it. I like it with craisins and brown sugar, blueberries and honey, or raisins, cinnamon, and brown sugar - all with milk of course.

How do you eat it?

Seems like comcast is a huge issue over in that direction. I have a friend over mid west/eastish (more east than me) that has issues with comcast but we've never had an issue. Well except if you count that on top of the $100 we were paying for internet, they charged us another $30 per month so that we had "first use" service. When we went down to 50megs vs 100, that went away and now we pay 1/2 as much. Fancy that.

That steak would have been perfect for me... good I was not there it would be gone in like a second

Oatmeal...MIL got all these boxes of instant oatmeal with brown sugar/maple or something so put hot water in it and a teaspoon of peanut butter since it is a little too sweet for me :) When I make steel cut irish stuff..it is with almond milk and half a banana and a bit of honey or brown sugar....oatmeal good...I know I should not add the sugar but...it is so good lol

I am glad we are only here for another month and it is my mother's problem now. They gave us a new modem, because she needed one with a telephone hookup, but of course now I have connectivity issues again. #######.

I grew up adding sugar to oatmeal so it's rather hard not to! I usually make the one minute Quaker oats, but I like them cooked on the stove too, but that's much harder to do. (But much tastier if you can get the raisins and cinnamon in right!)

It's like ketchup on my eggs. My husband says I'm ruining them but when I was younger I could not stand the taste of eggs besides egg salad sandwiches, so my brother put ketchup on them and boom I ate them. I like them better now than I used to (I can eat them over medium or poached not just scrambled) but I still like them with ketchup or as an omelet or frittata with veggies and oodles of cheese. I think the little bit of ketchup is less calories (and cheaper) than the amount of cheese I like. LOL

I have a feeling everyone, except your mother, will be happier to be out of that house!

YAY more "play time" for adults!

I don't like the yolks, that's why I use ketchup! :D

So I've almost been in the USA for a whole year. June 10th is the day I entered... June 11th is the day I finally was home. Wow.

The veggies are a Chinese veggie called "chow sum" it's stirred fried in high heat for a few minutes with garlic and ginger. Also had corn and sweet potatoes. Yeah I like the steak just a tad rarer than pictured. But I had the Tiff in mind when grilling this one, they like it medium well.

Now I'm cooking pancake and eggs lol
