I eat bell peppers just like an apple, same with tomatoes or onions (although depends on how sharp the onion is...if sharp...I put it on cracker...) so a salad would be cut up bell pepper and balsamic vinegar with olive oil lol

J <------ weird.

Bell pepper is more costly than an apple! Just saying... ^_^

You should eat apple instead :content:

Nothing against bell peppers, but I always think of them as garnish ingredients, adding nice colors to the food.

I disagree on the eating apples instead...if MIL buys 10 of them and uses up half and throws them out later...you can be sure I will eat them rather than throw out.

Also, apples are sweet and sometimes it is good to eat veggies as opposed to apples. I am not buying truffles here and eating them by the pound heh ;)

I cook with them or use them in salads a lot, not a garnish to me :) So many ways you can use them. Enjoyable but that is just me and my crazy ways. :D

Call me weird, but I'll slice up a bell pepper and eat it plain. To me, the red, yellow, or orange ones have a sweet taste of their own. Green are a bit bitter, but good none the less.

I agree on the green..usually I make a bell pepper soup from that one with potato and tomato and rice and onion etc....it is a good recipe and fast....or I put the green on a pizza but less so.

But yup I do the same thing :)

Green bell peppers reminded me of an ex-coworker who ate his lunch in office.

He always had boiled chicken breasts and green bell peppers.. And Ewww... the green bell peppers stink up the whole office.

1- So is that good or bad?

2- No gummy bears.... what is your diet restricted to?

1 - Good to lose weight, yes.

2 - Lean protein and some vegetables. I can have other stuff in really small quantities - but basically no refined sugar, no white grain products, no juice/alcohol/carbonated drinks, and limited fruit and whole grain.

I'm trying to get the Dane to transition to the IR diet too because he has similar symptoms - constantly hungry for sugar, etc.

Call me weird, but I'll slice up a bell pepper and eat it plain. To me, the red, yellow, or orange ones have a sweet taste of their own. Green are a bit bitter, but good none the less.

I cook them in stir fry and on the grill and stuff them, but I really don't like the taste - I mainly do it for the sake of whoever I am cooking for.
