i dunno about that Troph....

and I'll tell ya why.....

for me, when I tested my child. She got a higher score than when "They" tested my child.

In the written portion, she scored the same at home, and at the test site.

But in the verbal portion, she scored significantly lower at the test site.

For my kiddo, she was just shy. Not stupid. (I'm not calling your child stupid).

what I'm saying is. You can see in the comfort of your own home, where you daughter is surround by her family. And you can get a truer assessment than they can in school. It may help you decide which way to go with her. I bet you she does better at home.

Maybe I'm just overreacting because she more than exceeds these guidelines for end of Kindergarten:

And pretty much all of the first grade ones too.

Cooking done, two batches of pierogi in the freezer. Getting baby to sleep then I can eat.

My boys go to their citizenship interview tomorrow. They need to leave early for an 8:30am appointment. They both better pass, the oldest is driving me nuts though.

The Boo could not read in kindergarten. She learned in grade 1 and by grade 3 was reading at an advanced level for her age. Once she decided to do it, she went for it. She has great comprehension now and when the ex asked her teacher about it, he said she is a wonderful reader and doesn't need any extra help with it. She struggles with math still so in her option block in middle school (starts in grade 6 in her town) she'll be taking a math helper course. I told her father to sign her up for 2 terms vs 3 and if she needed more help after that to get a private tutor. I think private tutoring is better than holding kids back if you can afford it. Her father did very well in basic math but didn't do as well in advanced math later in high school (I saw his marks and he barely passed.) I still do horrible at basic math, but I was in the 75-80% range mark wise in high school because I have to write it all out. :)

1. Yes I found that out also. I also heard from some friends that some teachers are allowing text talk instead of actual spelling.

2. I was never a fan of the Apprentice.

I have 2 sleeping babies. I want to smack my oldest for not taking his civics test seriously.

Oh and the hives I broke out with not long ago still have not gone away. I'm thinking I my allergies are getting fed up with me.

So where did everyone go?

I went to dinner.

And if you guys remember a few weeks ago, me telling you guys that the Gump kid was playing with my car keys as if they were his? and no one said anything to stop it?

Well, that set of car keys is now gone! MIA, whereabouts unknown. The same car that Gump borrowed.

I don't want to blame anyone (And I didn't). And Tiff was quick to defend her nephew......I explained to her that that set of car keys are spares. And no one ever uses them. They just hang under the kitchen cupboard all the time.

The time has now come that I need a wall safe by my staircase to lock my own friggin car keys in my own friggin house.

So tomorrow, what shall I do on my vacation? Go to Honda and get a spare key......
