Interesting that some should equate sexual abusing a child, with two adults, or ten, having consensual sex...

cue in the theme from Twilight Zone...

Hmm. Trying to start a debate?

Well , personally I find the most promiscuous people have low self-esteem. Brought on by what? Anyone's guess.

Damn, my third finger!

Just saying many times womenor men claim abuse or sexual abuse when it is not true. A dis service to those who are really abused

i don't think 'many times' is accurate.

you should tell your picking up wild women in church stories again. love those.

I hate to be so cynical, but when someone with her record of sex videos, sleeping around, etc, gets older and blames it on being abused, I always turn a skeptical eye

Not trying to play amateur psychologist, but I can see how a crappy home life and abuse could lead someone to have a really low self-esteem. Her later bad behavior could really be attributed to her just seeing herself as worthless and just taking whatever approval she could get - even if it's sleeping around.

Also, I'm cynical too but she doesn't really seem to be seeking sympathy or anything else. She just seems to be explaining why she likes animals. She really has nothing to gain.

I was more an observation than anything else. Regardless of motive, I believe that comparing sexual abuse of a child with the sexual life of consenting adults is sad, at best. Even if the case can be made to link one to the other, I find it in poor taste to justify or somehow mitigate the former with the latter.

even my wife gets tired of my best stories sometimes

But it is a well researched fact.

Very vocal hand in air at church kind of women are usually loose.

Sexual abuse does traumatizing things to one's psyche. From my experience it goes two ways:

The person becomes withdrawn. Trust issues, anger problems, lashing out at anyone. The other way is what Miss Anderson is describing. I've known girls who exhibited the same behavior. All of them had been abused at some point in their lives. By family members, close friends, boyfriends, or even husbands.

All the above things you mentioned, are classic symptoms of sexual abuse. Unless we know 100% she's lying, we shouldn't judge.

He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it.

She is justifying her love of animals through her supposed abuse? C'mon.

did not judge.. She is Pamela Anderson for God sake

I just said skeptical.

Meaning I have known many women who claimed things that were not true to try and soothe their consciousness. Of course men also.

loose like the men that go sniffing them out.

i don't see where in the op, pamela anderson is blaming her sex tapes or prior relationships (she had too many?) on her endured sexual assualts. i'm only reading where she's crediting her love of animals with getting her through.

Agree. I used to know a stage manager for Bowie and the likes, and for the most prurient amongst us, he told me Gospel singer were the worst. Cocaine and bjs between acts etc.

Yeah and they all had self-esteem issues, I am sure.

Everyone lies. But when it comes to this, I try to give a benefit of the doubt.

Although I was never abused as a child and grew up in a healthy environment I understand her love of animals. Perhaps her experiences as a child amplifies that in her but it is not the only reason for it.

I agree. Her abuse explains much of her adult behavior.

I understand she had a tough childhood, but then people grow up and become adults and understand the difference between right and wrong. Knowing how she felt when she was abused as a child why grow up and approve of a person sexually abusing you for money.

Sometimes it's all they know. It's deeper than just right and wrong. Those scars can affect you for life and your decision making skills suffer from it.

The first girl I dated, she was sexually abused when she was a child by her stepfather. For her, it meant acceptance. I wasn't aware of it at first, but I remember our first date at my house. She was moving fast, like rushing to get to it because she wanted to feel accepted. I sensed something wasn't right, so I didn't let it go any further than some petting. She broke down and started crying. I was the first guy to tell her no. I spent the rest of the time just hugging her and trying to understand what was going on. It wasn't until much later I learned about her history...
