Hello Everyone, my name is Jose. I recently got married and my wife is from Argentina. She is here on a H1B visa and its due to expire in October of this year. Today we started filling out her applications for Legal Permanent Residency. We have everything filled out, I-130, I-485, 325a, I-864, etc. I have a question regarding the I-130 and the I-485 applications. On the I-130 question 14, "If your relative is currenlty in the U.S., complet the following: He or she arrived as a:", what should I put here. I have Worker H1B Visa, would this be correct? I read somewhere that H1B is a nonimmigrant visa, should I put Nonimmigrant. I'm confused on this part. As for the I-485, under "Part 3. Processing Information, Nonimmigrant Visa Number and Consulate Where Visa was Issued" on her H1B there is a "Control Number" is this the same as the "Nonimmigrant Visa Number"? Also, her boss filled everything here in the U.S. at the California Service Center, is that what they mean for "Consulate Where Visa was Issued"? Thank you all very much for your anticipated response. I really look forward hearing from the forum.

Jose
