Hello,

My wife and I sat together to fill out I864 and we realised that she doesn't make 20k. She is teacher's aide and she just started her job in 2014. She graduated this year. The poverty cutoff is $19.6k. What is the workaround here?

You need a co-sponsor who is a US citizen or permanent resident. Usually one of the spouse's parents or siblings, someone who is willing to provide a lot of sensitive financial documentation to USCIS and be held responsible for the immigrant financially.
