You mentioned that you met in 2012 when you were in the US. That is why I am asking when you were last together in person. You need to have been face-to-face at least once within the 2 years prior to filing the I-129F.

And to answer about the proposal, no ring or official proposal is required. You should be serious, engaged and planning to marry within 90 days of your entry with the K-1 visa though.

I meet him only once at the airport. He introduce me by his friend which is my friend's friend who bring something to send it to my friend here in philippines. And he(boyfriend) add me in facebook but suddenly our conversation lost..and last december 2013 we started having conversation and become couple..and last month april 2014 he went home for emergency reason which is he only have one vacation leave for this year..our plan to see each other will be on november but because of his father illness he went home to take of him but died after a week..and the same time to see each other..i went to manila for 1week and he went here in mindanao to meet my family and son..

I knew who my now, wife, was 5 months before we decided it was much more, and we were a "couple" 2 weeks before we filed the K-1 visa, file 6-22-12 and P.O.E. Alanta 4-25-13, and married 6-22-13, and I hope it is forever, she is a wonderful wife!

Celebration today as she went from "beginers drivers license".,.,. to obtaining her real deal, regular drivers license license today! She did a great job on her drivers test before an officer, but she had a great teacher, HER husband, yes, with the right temperament, husbands can teach their wives to drive!

Okay. Make sure you have been together in person, face-to-face within the 2 years before you file the I-129F petition. If not, you will be denied. It is a requirement to be together in person at least once during the 2 years before you file. If it has been longer than 2 years, then wait until you see each other before you file the I-129F. You will need to provide proof of your meeting in person.
